Golf in the Community
21 December 2010
During 2011 Tilgate Forest Golf Centre will be committed to bringing golf to a wider audience in Crawley and the surrounding area.
We will be promoting golf to schools in Crawley by visiting primary schools to allow young children the opportunity to give golf a try using plastic equipment and making it a fun event.
We will be encouraging secondary schools to come and use our driving range during term time, hopefully we can encourage students to join us for our Wednesday night junior classes. You never know we may find the new Lee Westwood !!
We are also encouraging special needs students to join us at Tilgate. Currently Cavendish House Care Home visit on Tuesday evenings and have great fun on the driving range. From January, Manor Green Care home will also be visiting us.
We are also looking to encourage Senior activity here by offering “over 60’s” a special deal for a bucket of balls and a coffee, this will begin early in 2011 - look out for more details.
These are only a few of the many activities we will be offering in 2011 to encourage people to enjoy the exercise golf provides in a stunning location and also the social side of golf by making new friends.
Keep an eye on our web site, advertising at the Golf Centre together with posters and leaflets around the town.
