Castle Point Golf centre as well as being perfectly positioned on the banks of the Thames Estuary, has panoramic views over Hadleigh Downs and Castle, a beautiful stone 13th century keep and fortress from when Henry VIII watched his fleet go off to war.
Castle Point has the benefit of good rail links to London to the West, the adjoining borough of Southend to the East and the County town of Chelmsford to the North.
Established in 1988, this mature links style golf course comprises of 18-holes encompassing everything the newcomer, occasional or established golfer needs. Changeable coastal breezes and a network of open ditches make for an interesting game where club selection is paramount.
Where the front 9 holes establish an inland links character, the back 9 offers a very different challenge, featuring natural ponds and many more bunkers.
