Please note that the Prince’s Course is currently undergoing renovation with the reconstruction of several holes. This means the Prince’s Course is operating as a full-size 9-hole course until early 2014. The Duke’s Course remains unaffected and all 18-holes are in play.
Located in the heart of the country’s capital, Richmond Park is a national nature reserve and the largest of London’s Royal Parks. It is also home to Richmond Park Golf Course – with two stunning courses and a brand new clubhouse opened in April 2013, it’s sure to become one of the most admired pay & play golf destinations in Europe.
The new Clubhouse has been conceived as an elegant 'Pavilion in the Park' and designed to blend in with nature. A unique feature of the building is an eco-roof made entirely from acid grass sourced directly from Richmond Park, making it possibly the largest roof of its type in the capital. In addition, its use of the existing acid grassland, woodland environment and development of two new ponds support the native wildlife and help form the building. The new clubhouse hosts Glendale Golf’s new signature catering brand, Nineteen Bar & Kitchen. Guests can enjoy freshly prepared food and Piacetto coffee within spacious open plan seating. The clubhouse’s floor to ceiling windows provide diners with spectacular views across the 18th greens, against a backdrop of 2500 acres of parkland. Further facilities include a meeting room, golf shop, outside veranda seating, modern changing rooms and free parking.
Part of the project has been to improve the layout and drainage of both courses, which includes the reconstruction of several holes. We've achieved this whilst retaining the original characteristics of the 1923 Hawtree design. The opening of a new 20-bay driving range and academy course will follow towards the end of the year and the completed project is set to make Richmond Park Golf Course the best pay & play golf destination in Europe.
